Degraded Website Loading - PHP Errors and Reservation Form Load Issues
The additional resource increase continued to stabilize the system for the remainder of the day and no additional outages were reported. Server logs will be reviewed and if additional infrastructure changes are deemed necessary, they will be implemented accordingly.
On Sunday, May 4, 2025, beginning at approximately 9:30 AM EST, we experienced an issue related to PCI security scans that were consuming all available website server connections and caused some client websites to encounter issues with loading the reservation form and displaying PHP error messages when loading the website.
While our automated scaling systems activated to compensate for the load, the scans were utilizing connections as quickly as the server could generate them.
At approx. 10:30AM EST, our team manually scaled up additional resources and stabilized the system, with full functionality returning by 11:30AM EST.
We will be reviewing server logs for any additional information this week but have already implemented permanent infrastructure changes to better accommodate future PCI scan activity and prevent recurrence.
